So, your boss has asked you to make a corporate video. Great. But you’ve never made one before. And you don’t know any video production companies!

Now, before you start frantically googling ‘video production companies’, take a look at our top tips…

1. First of all, think about location. It’s often a good thing for your new video production company to be accessible. If you’re based in London, picking one in Aberystwyth might not be the best idea, unless you want a 5-hour drive just to meet them.

2. Remember, these people have to understand your needs – and you need to like them. So don’t just pick a company because their fancy website promises fancy things. Meet them and get to know them.

3. Most importantly, choose a company that offers complete in-house production facilities and in-house experience. If they can’t offer a particular service you need – they’ll have to outsource that part of the production which you’ll end paying for.

4. Lastly, think about a presenter. Where possible, use any in-house talent you have. If the content of your video requires specific knowledge related to your company, then viewers will respond better to someone who actually works for you. However, if you’re making a video designed to market your company, then use a presenter or actor.
